We're nearly a week into the anniversary event and I thought it would be fun to post some overall stats collected by psostats.
So far 2559 games have been recorded. These stats exclusively look at 4 player games (by a vast margin the most common)

First off overall class usage:

RAcast: 2572(25%)
HUcast: 1796(18%)
HUcaseal: 1113(11%)
FOnewm: 919(9%)
RAmarl: 710(7%)
RAcaseal: 677(7%)

It's probably no surprise to see RAcast and HUcast carrying the event, tough more RAcasts than games played is pretty crazy. HUcaseal coming in at #3 was a bit of a surprise, but I think we have a disproportionate number of HUcl players/friends of HUcl players running psostats.

I think I'm going to let the numbers speak for themselves for the individual quests. The top 3 runs are by team (the exact same players shouldn't appear multiple times, but one player changing is a different team - let me know if I made any mistakes).

Congrats to everyone holding times! There have been a lot of strong teams running, hopefully it's been fun for everyone involved.

Good work per usual, psostats is probably one of the best things to happen to PSO in awhile. I’ll post some things for clarity purposes that I’m sure will not be liked.

I double checked and none of these times are currently ACTUALLY first place times. They’re first only on psostats which is NOT up to date for the totality of records (even just “Vanilla”). The players in the past had set much sturdier times (on Ephinea directly even) and still deserve their mention as well as acknowledgement for actually holding the 1st place time.

this isn’t necessarily meant to take away from the work being done. psostats is amazing, but in this case a little misleading.

Yes, essentially. I think it should be labelled as that more specifically so that there's no chances for misunderstandings or so that people go around claiming things that aren't true.

It is specifically labeled that way? I don't get what the issue is.

Like yeah, I can tell you (because I talk to most of them) that all of us setting times on this board that aren't regulars in the TA scene are well aware of 4wayPB and that our times are trash compared to what's on the overall leaderboard. That is well understood. No one is seriously claiming they're record holders simply based off of this. We're just trying to have fun in a limited scope competition with this that Phelix has been so awesome to setup.

Thank you for linking all the times in one place though

Maybe I am some how missing it in the post, but no where does it specifically (as far as I can see) say that this is only for this event.

The title is "Egotrap Update" which obviously is no indicator.

which is also no specification and even sort of suggests that these times are actually records.

To mirror what Mike said, the page that shows these times is literally labelled as "Ephinea Anniversary 2021 Records" So we're aware of all the old times, and as being the ones in these record times for this years anniv, we've watched all the videos. We know that as a mostly RA team that we can't even dream to reach the times of tri- or quad-HU as is the history of TA times all the way back in Schthack's prime time.

Why does it feel like you're just trying to ruin our spirit? We're just greatly enjoying trying to go faster and faster within ourselves and making optimisations between us. After every run we're doing, we're telling the others that hey maybe you should get that Baranz instead and leave the other mobs etc.

Do we need to be running pso stats to post ego trap screens?
 
psostats does not have a monopoly on egotrapping but if you want your times to be on the leaderboard then yes. Hit me up on discord if you want an account
