PSO2's techs weren't _AS_ annoying to me but they did get pretty bad at times. Also PSO2 has countless obnoxious contextual things that fill up too much of the screen. MISSION START, QUEST OBJECTIVES, EMERGENCY CODE, etc. Why are they placed in the middle of the screen and made so big is beyond me.
Fortunately in PSO rafoie just hurts your eyes. In PSU, rafoie at high levels covers the entire screen and blinds you, along with a few other techs. It's absolutely insufferable if you're using melee weapons in the midst of it. >.<

It should work on XP. I think. But what folders are you changing the names to and why? You can't change any of the addon folder names without breaking them.
Thanks for the tip, I think I'll also include that in the guide. It didn't use to be a jumbled mess when opening it with regular Notepad, I'm not sure why it is now. Nor did I care to ask. Nevertheless it will come in handy if I become more active again. ._.
:Edit: I put it in the guide. I hope...

I almost completely rewrote my guide, and plan on making a video version of it too sometime soon. Check it out and tell me if it works for you:

I was going to make a video version of the my character reader guide but I'm gonna have to figure out a way to deal with the mic buzzing.
Congrats! Also fair warning, PSUC is a colossal pain in the ass to set up. If you have issues with the character reader you'll probably have issues with installing it. Granted, it helps that there's already guides on how to install it on their forum but whatever.
Did you ever play PSU?
