    A random value is chosen between min and max every time you attack. The range is determined by the weapon, e.g. Red Saber vs Ancient Saber, and all Red Sabers and Ancient Sabers have the same variation.

    It's probably because they disabled the IME to make direct input work for English players. If you switch to Japanese to enable the IME it might work.

    Are you using a font that supports it? It works in PSO PC just fine without any special changes.

    If you're running Kohle's software for GC, you must save in Kohle basic format (GC). The raw option outputs uncompressed files that only work with PSO PC when replacing the offline quests. Schthack forgot to include raw options for the other versions, but servers never use raw quests, anyway...

    I'll never understand why people get so hung up on this. Oh, the horror of having to spend 15 seconds to make a new team between quests that take anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours to complete. The inconvenience is simply unbearable! :eek:

    The only difference I can think of is that V1 is missing the icon for the quick menu. When you hold R, you still see the chat icon on the Y button. There's no point in trying to keep the DC Action Palette shape, because then the button press effects will be broken and require a bunch of code...

    Well, the DC textures are stored in PVR format, so the only way to manipulate them completely is with the PhotoShop PVR plugin that comes with the Dreamcast SDK. VMT is able to extract BMP images if that's all you need, though. Which files contain relevant HUD information besides f256_hyouji.prs?

    Eh? Episode IV has separate enemy statistics for solo mode quests; it just doesn't have solo freeplay maps. It sounds like somebody forgot to include both BattleParam files. :eek:

    Most enemies in Episode II have modified Episode I AI, and most enemies in Episode I have modified Booma AI, so that gripe kind of brings down the entire game. ;)

    It's the price you pay for having unicode names. Names are always 12 characters long, but BB wastes 2 characters on the language code so that you can use non-ASCII names. Console PSO allows only ASCII names, so you can use all 12 characters.

    Sega really wasn't great at management. I remember when they shut down the EU/JP DC servers, then the EU one came up again for several hours. Some SoE employee forgot to read his e-mail and was like, "Oh hey why is this server unplugged? I'd better fix this..." xD

    Eh, standing in one place and pressing A to spam Charge Arms on everything is incredibly boring, rather than fun, IMO. I usually end up meleeing on Rangers just to break up the monotony.
