Yeah I played football for 6 years in school but then I gave up on staying active. I'm trying to get back into things. It's always tough starting again but I'll make it through
Sweet. I never really stopped being active but i did switch from hardcore weight training to marathon running 4 years ago. The change was brutal on my body for the first year but now me and my girl run at least 5 miles every other morning. DST is awesome for morning runs.
I did say that a month ago, but I was living in a crackhouse where drugs got in the way of exercise. I am now living a whole different city at my nans, hopefully the anti-depressents don't make me too moody / tired because I want to get back into it. .
I used to be so fit and healthy, was captain of my hockey team a few years back but I stopped with everything. Just got to low I guess. Neeed to start pushing myself into doing it until it become routine again
Take it slow Roo. If you haven't been active let that daily mile be your limit for a couple of weeks until your body adjusts to it. Last thing you want while youre just starting to run is get injured.
I only ran that much because my friend was with me. I'll probably stick to 1/2 mile every other day for a couple weeks. Then slowly increase my amount. I'm taking a break today so tomorrow I will run my 1/2 mile.
That half of a mile today wasn't too bad. My little brother actually said he would ran with me. He ran the whole 1/2 mile with me and he's only 9 years of age. Just goes to show how real the struggle is for someone who is 260+ pounds and out of shape
