Devaloka (classic) Community Event - Holy Grail 100% Red Box Hunt

Community Holy Grail Event - Collect every red box on the drop chart as a community!


Greetings Hunters, I am Brawl from Ephinea's classic ship Devaloka (old school drop rates with QoL improvements). We are running a community event over the summer and want to share it with the rest of Ephinea. Here are the details:

What: Community-wide "Holy Grail" (HG)
• The idea of the "Holy Grail" comes from Diablo 2, where players individually hunt every single unique item in the game (in PSO terms, red boxes)
• Because the drop rates are quite unforgiving on PSO, we've decided to hunt them collectively as a community
• Red boxes drop from the normal difficulty all the way to endgame so fresh characters and veterans can both contribute as they progress

When: Starts on 15 May and runs until the Ephinea anniversary event (August)

• Decision will be made at that time as to whether we continue, pause, or end
• Of note, we are **NOT** starting fresh for this community challenge. This decision was made to maximize our time before the Ephinea anniversary event and keep an exciting pace - (edit) with the new /merge command you can carry your character and items back to Fodra when the event concludes

Why: To work as a community, track our progress, and finish something extremely difficult together as a team!

We can use a LOT of help to accomplish this community goal, and it would be amazing if we got some new players to join us! Additionally, a lot of our members are happy to assist new and returning players with basic necessities like weapons, units, and mags. The event starts on 15 May - but because we aren't starting fresh, you can jump in now and be ready to contribute from day one!

Edit: Forgot to point out that with the new /merge command, you can carry over your character to Fodra after the event is complete

Update: 185 of 273 items found, 67.8% complete with the challenge
The response to the holy grail event far exceeded any expectations that we had going in. We were especially excited to see good turnout in the lower level hunts by several new members of the community. With less than one month having elapsed and already being over the 66% threshold, this speaks to the dedication of our members. As of now, almost all of the Normal, Hard and Very Hard drops are farmed out and the team is now working on wrapping up the rest of the "common" uncommon drops before moving into targeted uber hunts.

It's not too late to join - leveling in classic is slower but the community is welcoming and happy to help new players. We expect two more months of the event prior to concluding as Ephinea anniversary starts.
