Hey there! Coming back to pso after playing on the gamecube and xbox in the early 00s.
With that said, im looking for an ideal team to join!
Been playing psobb since right after the valentines day event and ive learned that im looking for a team with some experience, but doesnt take the game too seriously!
I normally gravitate toward solo play (i blame being at 40, having to adult here and there so game online to unwind), BUT, need a party member to help do some group runs? im your guy! Challenge mode and other group focused runs while getting to know others sounds very interesting!
If your team has a well balanced community, please PLEASE reach out to me. Thank you very much and take care!
First of all, welcome! Every once in a while there's someone out there thinking "What if PSO was still active?" and you'd be right!
I think you’d fit in very naturally with us. Reading your post felt familiar to a lot of us here.
We call ourselves
GangGang & Phrens, and the best way to describe us is probably a
serious casual team. We genuinely love PSO and a lot of us have been around the franchise for a very long time, so we do take the game itself seriously — but
almost never in a sweaty or stressful way. At the end of the day, this is where we come to relax, unwind, laugh, and enjoy the game together.
Our age range is all over the place too — currently from about 26 all the way up to 78 years old. We’ve got veterans from the Dreamcast era, GC/Xbox players like yourself, people from other PSO servers, and fans from different Phantasy Star generations altogether. So there’s a pretty healthy mix of nostalgia, experience, and fresh perspectives.
The team itself was created around 14 months ago, and we’ve slowly grown into a really balanced community. Right now we’re around 70-ish members in-game, with about 60 people in our Discord. The community is roughly 60% US and 40% EU, so there’s usually somebody around no matter the time zone.
One thing that’s important to us is that real life always comes first. A lot of us are adults balancing work, family, responsibilities, and everything else life throws at us, so nobody’s expected to no-life the game or be permanently online. We completely understand the “solo most of the time, party up when it counts” mindset — honestly that describes a good chunk of our members.
We also have a nice mix of introverts, extroverts, and people somewhere in-between. Voice chat is never mandatory. We like hearing people hop in once in a while because it helps everyone get to know each other better, but there’s zero pressure to always be on mic.
As for activities, we absolutely enjoy grouping up for runs, helping each other out, event content, random nostalgia trips, and just hanging out while farming. In the Discord we’ve also put together a bunch of useful stuff like guides, tools, helpful links, videos, tips, and even team uniforms for fun.
Funny enough, we still haven’t really made our official public forum introduction yet. We’ve always believed strongly in recruiting naturally inside the game because it recreates that old-school PSO feeling a lot of us grew up with. But as the community’s grown, we’ll probably make our proper forum presence soon.
Either way, feel no pressure at all! There's a lot more to the game that you probably didn't know that you can learn with us. — but from what you wrote, I genuinely think you’d fit the vibe here really well!
