This has been an issue for quite some time on many servers (and Gamecube even) during multiplayer mode the floor buttons for 2 or more players wont work with 1 player, Episode 2 is notoriously bad for this, the Door of 0 Continues. Temple has one, Spaceship has one, Not sure about CCA, but...
