You'll find the online.exe and ephinea.dll files have been updated.

On the launcher under Options, you'll find another button marked "Low Performance Mode"* Activating this button will make the PSO client push 1 to the sleep variable instead of 0, which reduces PSOBB's CPU usage at a very slight frame mismatch.

For people with lower-end computers, this option should hopefully make PSO overheat your systems less and possibly improve performance.

*If the Low Performance button is blank, open your lconfig.ini file and write "btnLowPerf=Low Performance" at the bottom.

does this

Does this change the bandwidth size ephinea uses? (Might be useful for us mobile net users) [n.n]
like, does it decrease bandwidth usage?

I will be needing this option one day. I will be purchasing a cheap ass laptop.

No it doesn't, I highly doubt that is ever going to change. This is simply for CPU performance.

...PSO takes minimal bandwidth anyway compared to other things.

Yeah, use mobile myself and maybe use a couple MB an hour, If you're getting high usage check what else is running in the background I had to disable a couple things myself when i started

@mobile usage: PSO quite literally uses SO LITTLE bandwidth that some ISPs will deprioritize you and make your connection not work properly if you have nothing else running in the background. So that's kind of a non-issue lol.

no I get it w/ the low bandwidth thing I'm just sayin (the updates kinda eat up data - but soda/matt solved that already)
low pro mode seems to make my game laggy - probably stick to normie mode. [n.n]

I have the same problem on my computer when I enable low performance mode. It makes my game run in slow motion. (And I have an i7-6700k with a 1080Ti) But it's still great there is the option there if it helps other people.

Sexy, I'm gonna try this for sure.

"Low performance mode" confirmed "slow motion mode" on my buff slave machine. Can't use. Oh well. The fucker hasn't overheated and died since I properly ventilated it so... Guess it's k

I use keurig coffee pods to ventilate my laptops lol.
(I swear they're perfect for laptop risers) [n.n]
