The 3rd Anniversary Event will be starting sometime soon (date: whenever it's ready, so stop asking) and with it, the Anniversary shop will be changing and a new badge type will drop, the 3rd Anniv. Badges.
In the updated shop, only 3rd anniversary badges will be accepted, and you'll be able to trade up 2nd anniversary badges for a rate of 3 to 1, just like last year.
Note that any 1st Anniversary Badges will become useless, so if you have any lying around, make sure you trade them up! The value of 2nd anniversary badges will also diminish, so you may want to also spend those as well.
