I've been playing pso and blue burst on pc since blue burst came out, and to this day, I have STILL not been able to successfully get the game to see my custom mapping for the number hot bar on any controller (1 on Left Trigger, 2 on RT, 3-6 on right thumb stick.) I'd given up, but I KNOW other people do it, so I'm currently trying again.
I KNOW the game sees the mapping because i can press LT for example while typing in game, and it puts a 1. But it just WILL NOT cast the tech that's set to 1. I'm using a ps4 controller and DS4Windows newest version (also tried input mapper with less success) as admin and ive tried every compatibility mode. I've tried joy2key as admin and all compatibility modes for less luck (no response in game at all, to the custom maps.) I've used the controller plugged in with no difference. I've tried a ps3 and ps2 controller, and the logitech ps3 knock off controller made specifically for pc. no luck.
I've used an xbox one controller, with both joy2key and xmapper with no luck. I've tried on 3 different computers with no luck. The game just WILL NOT cast my number bar techs unless i press the actual keyboard. I've even tried macros that recorded pressing 1 down and releasing 1. I've run PSO as admin and in every compatibility mode with no luck.
To top it all off, sometimes randomly the controller switch X to square, and at character select it starts scrolling infinitely. I don't even know what I do to fix it, just start and stop everything and restart the computer a bunch of times.
Otherwise, other games see custom mapping with NO ISSUES. I use a controller for minecraft, terarria, etc on pc and literally anything I map works without question.
Sorry for the wall. I'm just about ripping my hair out. I'm hoping theres just something im missing that someone could point out.
And yes, I've made sure keyboard controls are on. and when i turn them off, sure enough, it types 1-6 with those custom mapped buttons.
